2016 PGP Seed, Plant and Bake Sale:
The Sale So Nice We’re Having It Twice!

plantsale2015-02

The Peterson Garden Project Plant, Seed and Bake Sale is back for another year and this time it’s bigger and better than ever. In fact, it’s a sale so nice we’re having it twice! Join us April 22-23 for a cool weather crop sale and then again on May 6-8 for a warm weather crop sale. The sales are going to be so big that we’re moving them to a new a location – 5035 N. Broadway – just north of Argyle Street in the Uptown neighborhood.

It’s not mere hyperbole when we say that this year’s plant sale is our biggest ever. We’re putting together a pop up gardening superstore so big that we had to move it to a parking lot in Uptown. We’ll have varieties of plants not available anywhere else in Chicago – including a dwarf tomato grown exclusively for Peterson Garden Project. We’re adding a selection of edible flowers and new organic varieties to the inventory this year. Our expanded soil salon will include a visit from the Purple Cow Organics Soil Mobile. And we’ll have master gardeners on hand to help with plant selection and offer advice.

Get all the specifics for each sale below:

COOL CROPS SALE
APRIL 22: 12PM – 4PM
APRIL 23: 10AM- 4PM

It can still get quite cool in Chicago in late April and early May so we’re focusing on those seedlings that can handle a little spring chill. Since the April sale coincides with opening day of the gardens on April 23rd, we’ll have everything you need to get your first garden going before weekend’s end. From soil and fertilizer to tools and seedlings, we’re turning the parking lot at 5035 N. Broadway into a pop up greenhouse. The Purple Cow Organics Soil Mobile will be parked and offering educational opportunities for gardeners.
